How to Get Glowing Skin Naturally – Body Glow oil
Every girl wishes to have glowing skin. She spends a fortune in the beauty parlors getting treatments for glowing flawless skin. Even after several trips, the glow is just temporary and it is very expensive and deceiving.
Today I bring to you a recipe from Ancient India.
When I was about to get married like my friends I also wanted to take those expensive bridal packages and look beautiful.
My mother had some other plans for me.
She asked me to try out this amazing oil which she had made from scratch for a month before marriage and on the side, I could do whatever I want.
It was a combination of massage oil and an Ubtan, an herbal bathing powder. (We will discuss obtain some other time)
So I thought that bridal packages can be done a week before the marriage so why not try what my mother is saying for a month before the marriage and if it goes wrong I would still have time to amend.
So every day she used to massage my whole body with golden yellow oil before bath and gave me a herbal powder to take bath with.
To my amazement, for two days I had a glow on my face and body.
All my friends and family noticed it and I was so happy.
I asked her the recipe for this oil which I will be sharing with you guys today.
The main ingredient in the recipe was turmeric.
Let me talk about turmeric
Every Indian knows about the benefit of turmeric. We eat it every single day in our food and curries. I guess no Indian curry is complete without a pinch of turmeric.
Turmeric also called Curcuma Longa is a herb from the ginger family. We use the roots of the plant just like ginger.
Nowadays many western labs are doing research on the Indian spice and developing it into supplements for consumption.
Turmeric contains bioactive compounds that give numerous health benefits.
Among thousands of compounds present in turmeric, Curcumin is the main ingredient that has anti-inflammatory effects and a strong antioxidant property.
The anti-inflammatory property of Curcumin helps your body to fight against foreign invaders and has a special role in repairing damaged skin.
I guess the elders knew about these beautiful effects of turmeric and made a skincare regime for brides to enjoy the natural real glow in them.

- Cool it down and strain the oil.

Method to use Body Glow Oil
Use it as a pre-shower routine in the bathroom.
Remove all the clothing from your body ( as Haldi might stain the clothes )
Massage your whole body with the oil this is called Abhyanga in Ayurveda.
Make sure your massage your whole body.
Let the oil seep into the skin.
Now take bath as usual with soap or bathing powder or Ubtan.
You might not require a moisturizer after this application so you can skip it.
Notes:
Since Haldi or turmeric is a bit staining you might see yellow marks on the skin during application but they will wash off immediately after showering.

April 20, 2021 at 10:43 amAlmond oil and coconut oil are skin friendly oils that allows you to massage pretty nicely …. If you have any oil that allows to massage will also be great … like sunflower oil or olive oil …. also you can make a blend of dry oils and these oils both will work wonders
