Question ever women wants answer for.
Every women in this world strives to achieve that flawless blemish free skin be it a home engineer who give their heart and soul to the make a house a home and strive for betterment of the lovely people in it or the working women who pour their energies to make things work.
Often they neglect the most important part of them i.e. their self. The most important person in our life is our self and taking care of ourselves will help us achieve our goals more confidently and graciously.

I guess she was a flag barrier of Ayurveda and home remedies she had so many NUSKA ( remedies ) under her belt that she could have wrote a book.
Nevertheless I will share what I learnt.

Lets discuss each ingredient in detail to understand the herbs used and their benefits.
Manjistha – Indian Madder Root
Majistha is known for it purifying properties and is a commonly found herb in most of Ayurvedic conctions.
It is the best herb for purifying blood.
In skincare it is known for it whitening properties therefore many Ubtan ( Herbal face and body pack ) have manjistha in it.
It is an antioxidant therefore helps in managing pimples and acne.
It also reduces rashes on the skin which can be due to skin irritation.
Kapur Kechari – Gawla Katri – Spiked Ginger Lily
I am a Maharastrian and we have this tradition at home where every Diwali we make a ubtan in the morning using Gawla Katri as a main ingredient and take bath with it. It was such a fragrant ubtan that the moment I smell it I go back to my childhood Diwali Morning to do that Bathing Ritual.
This is one of the reason it also known as Perfume Root.
Well it is a natural antiseptic which help reduce acne spots and reduce pimples.
It is also anti oxidant in nature which is ideal for a facial oil.
Mulethi – Licorice
This is one herb which every house hold has it in their kitchen as it is used in many home remedies be it cough cold or to boost immune system.
It has cooling soothing sensation on skin and help in reduce itchiness, redness and swelling on the skin due to pimples.
Last but not the least
Kesar – Saffron
By far the most expensive and amazing ingredient of the Serum. It is one of the most revered ingredient in Ayurveda.
It is a super ingredient to be used to reduce pigmentation, spots, and skin blemishes. It also helps in reducing acne.
Badam Tel – Almond Oil
This is used as a carrier oil for all the above herbs.
It helps treat all the conditions be it dry skin or oily skin. It is an excellent moisturizer.
It helps treat dry conditions and reduces exzema.
It also known to dissolve excess oil from the skin therefore ideal for oily skin people.
The retinoids in the oil reduce appearance of acne and also improves cell turn over.
It is loaded with natural Vit E that reduces sun damage and makes it smooth and shiny.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Olive oil is loaded with a ingredient called Squalene. Now a days they also remove this squalene from the olive and sell it as Olive Squalene.
Olive oil is a natural antioxidant and the squalene in the olive oil gives it extra boost to this property of olive. It is super rich with Vitamin A, D, K and E making it an ideal addition to this facial serum.
Make sure you do a patch test before using olive oil as it might not suit a lot of the people.

Lets dive into the recipe
Manjistha – 25 g
Kapur Kechari – 25 g
Mulethi – 25 g
Kesar – 10 g
Almond oil – 200g
Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 200g
- Measure all the ingredients mention above in the exact proportions.
- Add them to a glass jar and pour the oil over it.
- If need be stir in the ingredients for uniform distribution
- You can keep this jar in sun for 3 – 4 weeks OR
- Keep it on a double boiler for 3 hours with medium heat till all the ingredients are infused properly.
- Now strain it in a clean container.
- If you wish you can add in Vit E to improve the shelf life of oil.
How to use.
- Wash your face at night and pat it dry with clean towel.
- Take few drops of this oil on your finger tips.
- Massage your face with the oil in upward direction to lift your face up.
- Make sure you cover face, neck shoulder, back of the neck for best results.
- Next day you can take bath as usual.
- If there is excess of oil on the face use a face towel with warm water and keep it on the face for sometime and clean the face and remove excess oil.
- If you have body acne and scars on the body you can use this oil there too.
- You can use it on your hands too if they are sun tanned.
- You can also use this as body oil for Abhyanga Massage.
Make sure you do a patch test before use.
